It had been glaringly obvious that these people would really leave to go work their shift job simply to do the same thing the following day. The amazing part was you can drive the next block over which was in another city, but the difference was astounding! It was like you entered a different world filled with possibilities! Huge homes with manicured lawns, expensive automobiles within the driveways and activity everywhere. I thought to myself, that which was the main difference between both of these streets? The difference could be that the people around the not too nice street decided to work the typical life by punching a time clock. They were victims trapped behind barbed wire that they created. The affluent side, however, consisted of those who determined how you can cut through the barbed wire and the tool they used was the power of sales!
Go to any affluent neighborhood and you will see that a majority of the residents are involved in sales in one capacity or another. Real estate agents and brokers, insurance people, doctors, business owners who are all selling a product or service. There are plenty of venues in which a good salesperson may use their talents. Selling is really a passionate endeavor for individuals who can produce. These producers are the ones who create their life. They create the opportunity to make more money and the ability to get their money work for them.
So after discovering the facts about both of these streets, I made a decision immediately which i would not get paid by a time clock. When you are able sell, you are in control of your earnings as well as your life. I learned in a young age that weren't enough hours in a day to pay me things i wanted from life. Performance pay, as I like to call it, separates players from the spectators. You sell many you are making more; it is this type of simple concept. In sales as well as in life, you're the captain of your own ship, the master of your own destination so steer it to the Promised Land!
